Mumbai: SBI General Insurance has introduced a biometric health tracking feature on its mobile app, allowing users to monitor key health indicators through face and finger scans.
Developed with CarePlix, the feature uses remote photoplethysmography (rPPG) technology to capture metrics such as heart rate, blood pressure, respiration rate, body mass index, stress levels, and body fat without physical sensors.
Deputy CEO Mohd. Arif Khan said the initiative aims to provide accessible health insights and encourage proactive wellness. The service is available to both new and existing customers, who can also access discounts on standard lab tests through partnered providers.
