Kabaddi Champions League to Launch Inaugural Season on Zee, DD Sports

Mumbai: The Kabaddi Champions League (KCL) is set to begin its inaugural season, with matches scheduled to be broadcast on Zee network channels and DD Sports, according to an announcement by the league.

KCL has named the Zee network and DD Sports as its official broadcast partners, aiming to reach audiences across India and internationally. The league will be telecast across more than seven television channels and multiple over-the-top (OTT) platforms, providing coverage in several regional languages as well as English.

The inaugural season of the Kabaddi Champions League will run from January 25 to February 7, 2026. Matches will be aired daily at 6:30 p.m. IST. The league stated that the prime-time slot is intended to allow viewers to follow the live matches on television and digital platforms in India and abroad.

Broadcast coverage will include Hindi commentary on Zee Anmol, Z Bollywood, &Pictures, and DD Sports; Marathi commentary on Zee Yuva; and Punjabi commentary on Zee Punjabi. English-language coverage for international audiences will be available on YuppTV, which the league said reaches viewers in more than 60 countries. Matches will also be streamed live on ZEE5 and Wave OTT.

According to the league, a key focus of the inaugural season is vernacular broadcasting, with matches available in multiple languages to connect with audiences across regions. The league said this approach is intended to present the sport in a format that reflects its local and cultural roots.

The Kabaddi Champions League said it aims to strengthen engagement between the sport and its fans, highlight grassroots talent, and showcase regional kabaddi traditions during its first season.
