New Delhi — Admerly, a publisher monetisation platform within the BE Group ecosystem, announced that Akash Sharma has joined the company as Chief Strategy Officer, stepping down from his role as Assistant Vice President of Digital Monetisation at Zee Media Corporation.
Sharma’s move marks a shift from his previous position at one of India’s largest media conglomerates to a strategic leadership role at Admerly. In his new role, he will oversee the company’s go-to-market strategy, strengthen relationships with enterprise publishers, and help shape the platform’s product roadmap.
According to the announcement, his responsibilities include expanding Admerly’s position in the publisher monetisation space and addressing evolving demands in the digital advertising ecosystem, with a focus on balancing revenue outcomes and user experience.
Sharma brings more than a decade of experience in publisher-side operations, including programmatic strategy, advertiser partnerships, yield management, and revenue operations. The company said his background is expected to support its efforts to develop solutions aligned with publisher needs.
Commenting on his appointment, Sharma said he chose to join Admerly to work on monetisation approaches that prioritize both revenue and viewer experience. He added that he aims to contribute a practitioner’s perspective to help publishers build sustainable strategies.
Arun Raghav, Founder and Business Head at BEdigitech, said Sharma’s experience managing revenue systems and partnerships would influence how the company develops products and engages with clients.
